Are you someone who enjoys keeping things organised, working with people, and making sure everything (and everyone) shows up where they need to be?
Open Source Radio is looking for a Volunteer Coordinator Buddy – someone who wants to learn how to support the engine of the station: our team of studio managers and volunteers.
As part of our buddy system, you’ll work closely with our current volunteer coordinator. You’ll slowly take on responsibilities like building rosters, staying in touch with our volunteer team, and helping keep everything running smoothly during busy weekends and festivals.
What you’ll be doing
- Helping create and update the weekly studio manager schedule
- Jumping in when someone drops out last-minute
- Recruiting and onboarding new volunteers
- Coordinating volunteers for events and festival hostings
- Helping maintain guest lists and volunteer overviews
What you’ll learn
- How to manage communication and scheduling for a large team
- How to stay flexible and calm when things shift last-minute
- How to motivate and support volunteers across different contexts
- How to navigate the back-end of a busy broadcast space
- How to build and care for a creative community from the inside
Details
Hours: ± 4 hours per week (with occasional peaks)
Location: Hybrid (Nijmegen-based, with remote flexibility)
Language: Dutch and/or English
Start: From June 2025
