Open Source Radio is looking for a Community Manager Buddy – someone who wants to learn how to nurture and activate a dynamic, grassroots radio community from the inside out.
As part of our buddy system, you’ll work closely with the current Community Manager and gradually take on responsibilities – from organising workshops and events, to connecting with artists and volunteers, to creating space for learning, collaboration and exchange. You’ll play a key role in helping OSR remain an open, welcoming platform where people grow, share and contribute.
What you’ll be doing
- Supporting the organisation of workshops, panels, and learning sessions
- Helping identify the needs of our artist and volunteer community
- Coordinating gatherings such as club nights, meet-ups, and in-station events
- Strengthening communication between OSR and its contributors
- Helping build a culture of inclusion, learning, and mutual support
What you’ll learn
- How to co-organise events from concept to execution
- How to maintain healthy, active communication with artists and volunteers
- How to shape and support a diverse, artist-led creative network
- How to represent the voice and needs of a community within an organisation
- How to build structures that support talent development and care

Hours: ± 4 per week
Location: Hybrid (Nijmegen-based, with remote work possible)
Language: Dutch and/or English
