Do you enjoy writing, curating, planning, and finding creative ways to tell stories? Want to help shape how a radio station communicates, connects, and presents itself to the world?

Open Source Radio is looking for a Marketing & Communications Buddy – someone eager to learn, contribute, and grow into a key role within our communications team.

As part of our buddy system, you’ll work closely with the current team to develop and carry out OSR’s communication strategy. This is a learning-by-doing role: you don’t need to know everything yet, but you should be curious, committed, and excited to dive in.

What you’ll be doing

• Writing copy for social media, newsletters and the website 
• Editing audio clips and show snippets for promotional use 
• Managing and scheduling posts across OSR platforms 
• Supporting content creation (photo, video, behind-the-scenes) 
• Communicating with artists (callsheets, artworks, updates) 
• Keeping the website up to date with show and event info 

What you’ll learn

• How to build and manage a content calendar 
• How to write in OSR’s tone: clear, informal, community-focused 
• How to collaborate with artists, programmers and other coordinators 
• How to turn radio shows and moments into digital content 
• How to work in a small, tight-knit communications team 

Details

Hours: ± 6 per week

Location: Hybrid (Nijmegen-based, but remote collaboration is possible)

Language: Dutch and/or English

Start: From June 2025
